Welcome to Tripstigator!

Hey! I’m Chris, and for 15 years I’ve participated in International Community Development as a rather curious nomad.  The work has helped me to grow a unique set of skills and diverse network of contacts.

Recently I’ve relaunched this project called Tripstigator.  It’s a community for self-driven learners like me that connect with promising initiatives around the world and help them grow!

Whether you are a student, independent retiree, or transitioning professional, leave time in your next itinerary for a deep-dive into development!

If you join Tripstigator, you’ll get:

  • VIP access to our growing list of vetted ‘host’ destinations around the world.

  • Our creative approach to service work training.
  • 20+ templates for flexible, short-term projects designed to help hosts connect with customers.
  • An ‘online community’ who are serious about helping others succeed.

We’re already in 10 countries and growing fast.

Are you one of us?  Projects are flexible, short-term, impactful, and everything is optional. You work onsite with our grateful “hosts” while our online Membership community provides resources, mentoring, cheerleading, creative challenges, collaborations, and sources of inspiration.

See you on the other side!

While traveling through South America I decided to join Tripstigator. I am so happy I did! Through Tripstigator I had the opportunity to work with two amazing female entrepreneurs in different parts of Colombia.  Not only did I have the opportunity to work with them and aid their companies but I also made friends with them.  Tripstigator turned out to give me some of the most rewarding experiences of my six months in South America. If I ever have the opportunity to work with them again I will!

I’m not what you would call extroverted so meeting people can be a challenge sometimes.  Working with Tripstigator made my experience while traveling through Argentina personal.  My time helping a community-based tourism venture set up online payments in Buenos Aires, pushed my comfort zone and added depth to my experience.

Growing up I never had the opportunity to travel.  Tripstigator gave me the excuse to take a leap and visit Thailand all while growing my body of work with an awesome organization.  The best part, I was able to help on my own time and go on plenty of adventures with my new friends.  It was the perfect mix of freedom, support, and responsibility.
